Learning about ants

The upside is that I got to spend an extra hour playing in the front yard with my beastie. She was being very cute. She was very distressed about the ants on the porch. I said, "Ants are bugs. Bugs live outside. They don't hurt anything. Didn't you learn about bugs at school?" Her face lit up and she said, "Yeah!" After that, ants were no longer scary; they were just funny.
