We've got teeth! Rowan's two bottom teeth are now poking through. These have been bothering him for a long time so it's good that they are finally coming in.
For the last 4 weeks or so he's been on solid food. He doesn't like green beans or peas but happily eats everything else we throw at him. ...and it's slowly getting less messy. At school he sits with his friends and eats baby crackers while they have their snack.
Rowan also now sits unassisted. That started around Thanksgiving which was right around the point when he hit 6 months old.
He can't crawl yet, but he's getting close. He's proficient at rolling over and spinning himself in a circle while laying on his tummy. In 2 instances this week we've also seen him sit up from a laying position. Pretty soon he will be into everything.
At his 6 month appointment, he was 22lbs 27". That is the 66th percentile for height and 99th for weight! By contrast, when Sydney started walking at age 1, she weighted 21lbs and was 29" tall.
He's currently wearing a variety of clothes ranging from 9 to 12-18 months. 9 month pants are working well right now but 9 month onsies are too small for his torso. Meghan picked up some Old Navy onsies in the 12-18 month size and they work pretty well. They are a little big and loose but appear to fit comfortably.
Amusingly the 12-18 Old Navy jammies wouldn't go over his arms (those are the super tight sausage casing jammies that keep your baby from spontaneously combusting.)
